Regularly sealing hair knots on hair systems could virtually eliminate hair systems shedding hair and should be a fundamental part of your maintenance routine. Every time you remove, clean and reattach your hair system it is important to seal the hair knots adding weeks, if not months to the life expectancy of hair systems.

How To Seal Hair Knots

First you need to make sure that your hair system has been fully washed and conditioned. It is important to ensure that no conditioner has been applied to the hair knots or underside of the hair system. Conditioned hair knots are loose hair knots.

Ensure hair replacement system is completely dry. It is best to allow it to dry at room temperature.

Place the hair system upside down on a clean flat surface.

It is highly important that no hair comes into contact with the knot sealer as it contains a silicone adhesive. If placed on a flat surface, simply fold the hair underneath the hair systems base.

Spray the knot sealer across the lace, avoiding any exposed hair or polyurethane areas, such as the crown or perimeters. It is important to note that you must allow the solution to fully dry or hair adhesives will NOT stick. You will see white silicone droplets of knot sealer on the lace.

Using a makeup pad carefully wipe any knot sealer overspray from hair or polyurethane areas. Leave to dry for 5 minutes.

Note: Sealing hair knots is not possible nor required with polyurethane hair systems.
